Nothing on this page is a contract or legal advice. It does not create a guarantee, a publication date, or an obligation on either side.
What is open today
The public site is a catalogue of books that already have a retail listing, plus titles the catalogue marks as forthcoming. You can browse by pen name or by series reading order. Chapter text is not hosted here. Preview and purchase stay on the linked store pages.
If a submission path opens later
That path is not open, and the notes below are not in effect. They describe the narrow permission the site intends to ask for, if submissions are offered in the future.
- The writer keeps ownership of the work.
- The writer would allow The Novelist to host and display the work on this website.
- That permission would be nonexclusive. It would not stop publication elsewhere.
- That permission would be revocable. The writer could withdraw the work.
- The permission would not transfer ownership and would not require exclusivity.
- The site would not promise payment, a release date, promotion, or a legal result.
- A work would not be shown in public until it had been reviewed for this site.
- The writer would need to confirm they still have the right to offer the work, including under any retail exclusivity program such as KDP Select. This site does not check that enrollment and does not give legal advice about it.
What this site does not collect
The site does not collect passwords or payment details. It does not sell memberships. It does not ask visitors to register.
Manuscripts
No public contact address is set up for manuscripts. Please do not send files until this page says submissions are open.
